About Me…
I pride myself on being a compassionate and client-centered counselor who specializes in trauma and healing-focused therapy using somatic and mindfulness techniques to address the connection between the body and mind. With a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver, I have experience counseling clients across different age groups and am trained in LGBTQIA+ affirmative care and multiculturally oriented approaches. My humanistic and person-centered approach prioritizes each client's unique experiences, feelings, and perspectives. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment for us to collaboratively explore your thoughts and emotions. My trauma-informed lens ensures that you will receive the space you need to heal and integrate at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Before becoming a therapist, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College, where I studied Psychology. Following this, I worked in an Inpatient Psychiatric hospital with individuals across the lifespan with various diagnoses and concerns. Next, my journey took me to The University of Denver, where I received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and worked for The Mental Health Center of Denver for two years as a therapist. My experience and training have extended beyond my Master’s degree, and I am now in the process of pursuing my PsyD from Pepperdine University and working for Angeles House, a homeless service provider for families, and will be continuing my training at UCLA Semel Insitute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior where I will be dedicated to optimizing the growth and development of foster/adoptive children from birth to age 21, and their families.
I work with teenagers, adults, couples, and families. Please feel free to reach out to me directly to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
